This publication deals with how the medical system ignores women, how doctors are not taught to diagnose women’s pain, and how women are written off as hysterical (now labeled as emotional) when they present with “unexplainable” conditions. Through my publication I wanted to show that medicine urgently needs to have a reckoning. Medical institutions need to look at how they teach women’s health in medical school and how they treat people with complex emotional and physical problems in practice.
